Catherine Ford is a British actress who was born in Bloomsbury. When her father's divorce from her household, the actress was grew to maturity by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. As a young girl, she struggled with an obsessive compulsive disorder and suffered from anxiety due to the word"association. Ford began to become fascinated by acting during her teens, and joined the National Youth Theatre. She gained admission to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, however, she decided after one week that she wasn't a good for the school. Ford reapplied for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and, on the fourth time she applied she was eventually admitted. Shaun Dingwall - who later appeared as Pete Tyler in Doctor Who was among Ford's classmates. Ford was graduated in 1993, but in the meantime she was already making her television debut in the 1991 season from Surgical Spirit; she adopted the professional name "Catherine Tate". Through the Nineties, Tate could be seen on television in programmes like The Bill, Men Behaving Badly and London's Burning. Tate was a regular performer on stage and was a member of The Royal Shakespeare Company's season 2000-2001. Tate became famous for her stand-up comedies, that were added to her show in the year 1996.
